Google Voice

Google Voices is a simple-to-use application that allows you to:

1. text & call from your computer or mobile phone
2. read your personal voicemail and search through it like email
3. make international calls at low rates
4. block unwanted callers

all with a new free phone number that you get to pick (and an account).

In order to use it, you will need a Google Account.
When you have an account, have chosen a phone number, and have agreed to everything, this will be the home screen.



To send a message to someone, you simply click on the "Send a message" button. It can go to the person's regular cell phone number, or their Google Voice number.

Here are steps on how to call someone from your computer:

1. You will need to create a conversation with them first (if you don't already have an existing one).You can do this by sending them a message (you will need to know their phone/Google Voice number).
2. Then, click the phone in the top right corner of the message (make sure Pop-Up Blockers are disabled).
3. Next, choose which phone number to call the person with (if it shows more than one).
   1. if you choose "Phone 2", it will make a call to your phone, and call the other person from there
   2. if you choose "Hangouts", you can make the call from your computer
4. Click "CONNECT"
